The American baseball superstar Hank Aaron and I agreed to cooperate with each other in ways to introduce baseball to the younger generation, because the sport had given each of us such wonderful experiences. This was the start of the World Children's Baseball Fair. My first idea was to hold small baseball clinics for the children, but the Fair has greatly exceeded my imagination, becoming an international event on a grand scale. I would like to make this event even more attractive and wish that all children could come to love baseball.

The children who participate in the annual World Childrenís Baseball Fair held in the summer of every year have bright eyes. They are able to become friends just play catch together. Put on the same T-shirts and play baseball on a field together, so to grow their friendship deeper. Their baseball skills are getting better each day. An awkward form is transformed to a smooth movement. To see their fast improvement amazes me every year. I'd like to give each one of them an opportunity to have a big dream through baseball.
